Equipped with "VESPER" module
The back vent which is often found in drivers for low frequencies weakened the regulation of diaphragm operation and achieved high efficiency, however, large distortion was a bottleneck.
On the other hand, recent custom IEM realizes a low distortion factor by installing multiple drivers for low frequencies, but it can lead to a problem that it can not be implemented depending on the price rise or the shape of the ear.
Therefore, we developed a technology "VESPER" that keeps the amplitude symmetry by optimizing the back vent of low frequency drivers, preventing excessive amplitude, and modularized it.
To manufacture the module, we use a 3D printer and prepare an appropriate filter inside, greatly reducing the distortion of low-frequency drivers.
Equipped with pressure-discharge mechanism
When inserting the custom IEM, the air in the ear canal is compressed, so pressure is applied to the eardrum and the diaphragm.
KL-REF developed and installed a pressure-discharge mechanism to suppress the influence on this dynamic driver due to this pressure.
We received the user feedback that this pressure-discharge mechanism is effective even when it is in normal use or when the atmospheric pressure changes significantly, so we designed a new module for the BA driver and installed it in this model as well.
In this model, we are greatly reducing ear clogging feeling and oppressive feeling that I feel when wearing earbuds.
